It appears that unhappiness endures.

"Here's one for you.. Next time you're talking to your retired SF GO contacts, ask those that you're close to if they received a copy of the SOCOM DVD marking the 20th anniversary of SOF.

One of the more interesting parts in it is an interview with GEN(Ret) Holland, former SOCOM Cdr, and his comments on operations in Afghanistan during October 2001.

He's quoted as saying (not a direct quote, but I can get it), "I knew on 19 October 2001, when the Rangers conducted two airborne assaults, and JSOC conducted 23 surgical operations, that special operations had arrived".

There is not one - not one - word about 5th SFG(A) (or SF in general) kicking the Taliban's asses throughout the entire presentation. Needless to say. the SF men I work with that have seen it are PO'd.

It further illuminates the dividing line between IA and DA opns."
